The Legend of the Twelve Lights
On the eve of All Saints' Day (Halloween) at midnight, traditional Lincolnshire folklore records that twelve mysterious blue lights rise from the old churchyard mound where Horsington's demolished All Hallows Church once stood.

The Phenomenon: At 12:00 AM on November 1st, twelve steady blue lights slowly emerge from the earth of the former churchyard.

The Procession: Unlike erratic will-o'-the-wisps (locally called jenny wisps), these lights rise calmly without jumping about.

The Destination: The lights separate in groups of three, moving slowly across the countryside toward the parishes of Horsington itself and neighboring Stixwould, Bucknall, and Wadingworth.
